PPC agency for Toronto service businesses
Google Ads Management in Toronto
Google Ads Management in Toronto
White Dolphin is a Toronto PPC agency that builds and runs Google Ads accounts for local service businesses across the GTA. We take over an existing account or start a new one, rebuild it around the searches that actually turn into work, and report on calls and booked jobs rather than impressions.
We are based at 180 Steeles Ave W in Thornhill. Most of our clients are clinics, salons, contractors and professional practices with no in-house marketing team.
Free and no obligation. If paid search is the wrong tool for your business, we will say so.
What Google Ads management with us includes
Six parts of the same system. Most accounts we inherit have one or two running well and the rest on autopilot.
Google Search Ads
The core of almost every account we run. We build the campaign around searches that carry buying intent — “emergency furnace repair”, not “how does a furnace work” — and spend the first month cutting traffic that looks relevant and never converts. Search term reports get read weekly, not quarterly.
Paid Social
Meta and Instagram campaigns for the demand that has not reached Google yet. Useful for services people do not search for by name, and for staying in front of visitors who came to your site and did not call. It runs alongside search, not instead of it.
Display & Native
Banner and in-feed placements, used narrowly. Display is the easiest place in an ad account to spend money with nothing to show for it, so we mostly use it to remarket to people who already know who you are, with placement exclusions kept tight.
Creative Development
Ad copy, images and video built for the placement rather than resized from a brochure. Google now assembles ads from the assets you supply, so the quality of those assets is most of the performance.
Marketplaces
Sponsored placements on Amazon and similar platforms for clients who sell product as well as service. Different auction, different buyer, same principle: structure first, then bids.
Affiliate Marketing
Partner and referral programs where the economics actually work. Not every business needs one, and we will tell you if yours does not.
Which Google Ads campaign type fits your goal
Google sells several campaign types and they are not interchangeable. This is the short version of a conversation we have in every audit.
| Campaign type | What it does | Best when |
|---|---|---|
| Search | Text ads matched to what people type into Google | Someone is actively looking for your service right now |
| Performance Max | One campaign spanning Search, Maps, YouTube, Display and Gmail, assembled by Google | Conversion tracking is solid and there is enough volume for the automation to learn from |
| Display | Image ads across Google’s partner sites and apps | You are remarketing to past visitors rather than prospecting cold |
| YouTube | Skippable in-stream and in-feed video | The service needs explaining before anyone will enquire |
| Demand Gen | Visual ads in YouTube, Discover and Gmail feeds | You are creating demand rather than capturing it |
If tracking is not solid, Performance Max will happily spend the budget and report conversions you cannot verify. That is the trade-off nobody mentions in the sales pitch, and it is why we fix measurement before touching budget.
How we run your account
Audit
We start with the account, the tracking and the landing pages, not with a plan. You get a written findings list — what is wasting money, what is missing, what is already working — before any spend changes.
Build
Campaign structure, keyword and negative keyword lists, ad copy, assets, extensions and conversion actions. Everything is named so you can read the account without us in the room.
Optimize
Weekly: search terms, bids, budgets and creative. Monthly: structural changes. We change one significant thing at a time, so we can tell what caused what.
Report
A plain-language monthly report on calls, forms and booked work, with what changed and why. Not a forty-tab spreadsheet you will never open.
Most accounts need roughly two to three months before the data is stable enough to judge a change with confidence. We do not promise a specific number of leads, and anyone who does is guessing.
Google Ads in Toronto, specifically
Toronto is one of the most expensive paid search markets in Canada for service businesses. In competitive GTA trades you are bidding against national franchises, lead-generation aggregators reselling the same enquiry to four companies, and every other local operator — usually on the same handful of keywords.
Two things follow. First, the broadest keywords are rarely affordable for a single-location business, so the account has to win on specificity: the exact service, the exact neighbourhood, the exact problem. Second, at these click prices the landing page matters as much as the bid. A page converting at three per cent instead of six doubles your cost per lead without a single change inside the ad account — which is why we run conversion rate optimization as its own service.
We work across Toronto and the GTA — North York, Scarborough, Etobicoke, Vaughan, Markham, Richmond Hill, Thornhill, Mississauga and Brampton — and with clients in the United States.

Why work with White Dolphin
“We are specialists, not generalists. White Dolphin was built to provide deep expertise in digital channels that are extremely complex, and changing daily.”
Audit-first
The plan comes after the audit, not before it. We look at your account, your tracking and your competitors before recommending anything.
Outcome accounting
Reporting is on calls, forms and booked work, in plain language — not on impressions, and not on a metric that only flatters the agency.
One system, not line items
Ads, SEO, CRO and content run together. A click you paid for and a click you earned land on the same page, and that page decides whether either was worth it.
