Case study

Scarborough Radiologists: a booking-ready website for a Scarborough imaging clinic

Scarborough Radiologists is a diagnostic imaging clinic in Scarborough, Toronto, offering OHIP-covered X-ray, ultrasound and mammography. X-rays are walk-in, first come, first served; ultrasound and mammography are booked. White Dolphin designed and developed the clinic’s website and worked on its search visibility. The clinic now operates as Ontario Imaging Diagnostics – 3000 Lawrence, part of WELL Health Diagnostic Centres.

The challenge

Imaging patients arrive with a requisition from their doctor and a few practical questions: which exams are offered, whether they need an appointment, how to prepare and where the clinic is. An imaging clinic’s website has to answer those questions quickly and make it easy to send a requisition and request a time, for patients and for referring physicians.

What we did

Website design and development. A clinic website with a page for each exam (X-ray, ultrasound, mammography), an exam preparation page, FAQ, blog, about and contact pages.
Appointment requests. An “Online Booking” button and a request form where patients upload their requisition and choose preferred dates and times.
Practical details up front. Address, phone and email in a top bar on every page, so patients can call or find the clinic from any page.
SEO. Search-friendly pages for each exam type and the clinic’s area.

Project highlights

A requisition upload in the booking form, the step imaging patients need most.
Clear walk-in information for X-ray, so patients know when they can simply arrive.
One template that also served other imaging clinics, such as Danforth Main Medical Diagnosis.
